- Fiche technique
Échalas rouge 2016
Wine Advocate (Jeb Dunnuck) : 92 pts : Made from the estate's oldest Syrah, the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Villages Valreas les Echalas delivers complex aromas of smoke, cracked pepper, menthol, garrigue, black olive and plum. It's medium to full-bodied, with a velvety texture and a long, savory finish. It should prove reasonably long-lived, capable of aging through 2025 or so.
Clos Bellane was purchased by Stephane Vedeau, of Freme du Mont, in 2010. The estate covers 42 hectares, with a tiny 1.14 hectares in Chateauneuf du Pape. The wines are gorgeous.
